- ➤ The fourth annual Ken-Ducky Derby at Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA raised nearly $3,500 to provide over 16,000 meals, with duck 394 winning Kentucky Derby tickets + a $500 travel fund. Over 500 rubber ducks raced today. KTIV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School students have been running three businesses since last fall through the Warrior Enterprise Program to gain hands-on business experience. The initiative (including a café, concessions, and a custom sign business) offers practical learning for students. KTIV
- ➤ The River Valley Community School District in Northwest Iowa has approved a switch to a four-day school week—tentatively scheduled for Tuesday to Friday with occasional Mondays—to take effect at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. KTIV
