CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Sioux City police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Saturday afternoon in the Morningside neighborhood — one person died. Sioux City Journal
- ➤ On Saturday at 3:40 p.m., Sioux City Police responded to a call of a stabbing at 2208 S. Maple Street where they found an adult male who was taken to MercyOne Medical Center and later died — investigators say there is no current threat to the public and the case remains under investigation. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City Council is expected to vote today on a resolution to sell 1.49 acres of city-owned land at 800 Expo Center Drive for a new baseball training facility — the council will also review a proposal to rezone a 104-year-old apartment building that was red-tagged after a 2022 fire.
