- ➤ About 300 protestors gathered downtown Saturday at the federal courthouse and Sioux City Public Museum in the second day of demonstrations—Justin Thomason said he is mad over current policies, highlighting growing community unrest. Sioux City Journal
- ➤ Knoepfler Chevrolet on Saturday held a free car seat check in Sioux City to demonstrate correct installation techniques—officials noted that 4 out of 5 car seats are installed incorrectly. - ➤ Ryan and Rhonda Lorenzen built a large greenhouse near Wakefield in 2019 to grow tropical fruits like bananas, lemons and grapefruit along with common vegetables so their family can enjoy fresh produce year-round. - ➤ Sioux City fourth-graders showed history projects on local landmarks such as Leeds Airport, Grandview Park water reservoirs, Walgreens, Greenville Pharmacy, Smartian Hospital, South Ravine Park and Cudahy Packing Company. - ➤ Iowa author and water quality researcher Chris Jones spoke Saturday at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City and said excessive ethanol production strains water supplies and inflates farmland prices.
