- ➤ The Sioux City Council will reconsider a $140,000 reduction to the Human Rights Commission's budget (this review will occur before adopting the FY 2026 budget at its weekly meeting today). Sioux City Journal
- ➤ State lawmakers introduced a revised property tax proposal that will eliminate the rollback system—set a 2% cap on revenue growth and shift $400 million to K-12 school funding; meanwhile, the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Waterloo announced a $14 million project to expand its pantry, offices and loading dock to meet rising demand. - ➤ Hundreds of NICU children and their families gathered at UnityPoint Health, St. Luke's for an annual reunion event that shows how much the kids have grown since their early challenges.
