- ➤ Community Action Agency executive director Jean Logan said federal funding cuts will soon put 29 Head Start classrooms at risk by cutting over $10 million and 100 jobs — the agency is level-funded through Sept. 30 and may need lawmakers' support to keep its programs running. Sioux City Journal
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Sioux City Railroad Museum reopened on March 1 after closing last June when floods from the big Sioux river submerged its grounds and hosted a Grand Re-Opening Family Day celebration on Saturday with train rides, pony rides, a bouncy house and Lego train displays—museum officials said tens of thousands of hours volunteered by locals helped restore the site.
