- ➤ Attendees at Cone Park's Trail Fest on May 31 will join skills clinics, test new mountain bikes, watch professional rider demonstrations, and explore over 10 miles of natural trails + a paved pump track. - ➤ Micah Jensen, a South Sioux City High School senior born with spina bifida, has overcome many surgeries and challenges to play baseball and will walk on stage to receive his diploma today—he plans to attend Northwestern College to become an orthopedic doctor and show other kids that they can overcome obstacles. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Northwest Iowa farmers began planting a few days after Good Friday thanks to favorable weather and crop insurance rules that required starting corn no earlier than April 10 and soybeans on April 15. Experts noted that by last week nearly all fields were planted despite some soil crusting—conditions that could affect crop emergence this fall. Sioux City Journal
