Goodwill of the Great Plains opened its new 2,500 square foot Mission Service Center in Sioux City on May 20th—nearly two years in the making, the facility houses a job center along with a gym, game room, and art and music room for community use.

The family of James Joseph Foster Jr. sued Sioux City, its Fire and Rescue, and Police after an EMT allegedly injected him with rocuronium instead of ketamine on August 18th, 2023, which left him unable to breathe and caused his death two days later—paramedic Deanna LaMere now faces an involuntary manslaughter charge.
