- ➤ Memorial Day weekend saw Thunder on the Missouri host its 12th annual remembrance ride in South Sioux City as around 400 to 500 riders, departing the American Legion in Sergeant Bluff and escorted by law enforcement, honored fallen service members by riding to Freedom Park. KTIV
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A rescued baby eaglet with a broken leg is recovering from severe weather after its nest was destroyed last Thursday. The bird is steadily gaining weight and is being hand-fed plus its leg remains splinted, with several months of rehabilitation expected before release. KTIV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ MRHD awarded $500,000 in target grants to local organizations across Siouxland (supporting community development) to strengthen regional resources. The awards will help improve community services and infrastructure in the area. Sioux City Journal
