- ➤ Food Truck Fridays celebrates its 10th year by offering more choices and longer hours as new food trucks debut this season. New vendors include The Mugshot serving lattes, energy elixirs and 'dirty' sodas, Moon Night offering made-to-order Thai food, and Veg Out providing organic gluten-free options without peanuts, refined sugars or seed oils. - ➤ The second annual Cone Park Trail Festival drew families to the mountain bike park at Cone Park with free admission, over 10 miles of trails, bike vendors, live music, food trucks and activities for kids. Organizers added a new bike pump race, free bike giveaways and biking lessons — and they plan to hold the event again next year. SiouxlandProud
- ➤ A new mural is being painted on the north side of the building at 712 Market Street off west 7th to celebrate music and volunteering; the project is a partnership between the Gilchrist Foundation, building owners Nathan and Rachel Phillips, and the city, with Des Moine artist Jill Wells leading the work. Jill Wells expects to finish the mural in the next two weeks weather permitting — rain has slowed progress when the sun is not out. SiouxlandProud

- ➤ The Sioux City Council will consider awarding a $203,496 contract to a Missouri contractor to repair the Riverside Pool slide today—if approved, project details will be announced soon. Sioux City Journal
