- ➤ At the 35th annual Saturday in the Park on July 6, the popular arts alley in Sioux City saw strong foot traffic as over 20 vendors sold crafted glass, tie-dye t-shirts, healing crystals and jewelry—one booth even featured a massage chair for relaxation. A Lokal Vintage seller noted he enjoyed returning for the lively vibe and diverse crowd. SiouxlandProud
- ➤ A Sioux City resident placed about 300 American flags on the Strand family’s lawn on Van Buren Street for the 4th of July—this display is a tradition maintained for several years. The family asks visitors not to touch the flags. SiouxlandProud
LIFESTYLE NEWS
- ➤ Lisa Kleven Musgrove, a Mason City native and 1987 high school graduate now living in California, is on a cross-country bicycle trip and has been staying with her father in Mason City since July 2 until July 9 or 10. After this visit, she and her husband Eric Scott will head to New York City before boarding the Queen Mary to cross the Atlantic and cycle in Europe + they are finding joy in local trails and warm encounters along the way.
