GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Sioux City held its second day of interviews for the vacant City Manager position on Friday, with finalists Craig Clark from Austin and Andrew Barden from Winterset outlining their 90-day plans while interim manager Eric Swanson had been interviewed on Thursday — council members will review all notes before announcing a final decision later.  SiouxlandProud

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • In 2000, Omaha developers met with Sioux City representatives on Wednesday to propose converting the former Central High School classrooms on 13th and Jackson into living units—a plan aimed at preserving the historic building for future use.  Sioux City Journal

SPORTS NEWS

  • Briar Cliff softball and the Sioux City Fast Pitch Association will secure a 10-year lease today for Hubbard Park that runs through Dec. 31, letting them schedule practices, league play and tournaments and manage the concession facilities. The agreement gives them full control over park operations—ensuring a stable venue for local softball events.  Sioux City Journal
