Good morning, Sioux City. Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 30th of July.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Construction on the Big Sioux Pedestrian Bridge that will link Sioux City’s 40 miles of trails with 10 miles in Dakota Dunes continues, with concrete structures finished on the South Dakota side while work on the Iowa side is underway so that the sections can be assembled this fall. The project was delayed by a June 2024 flood that washed away early work and raised costs—prompting a ribbon-cutting ceremony to be planned after its completion.  SiouxlandProud

Both libraries offer free access with a library card and meeting spaces to encourage learning and engagement.  SiouxlandProud
