- ➤ The Siouxland African Festival will celebrate its 10th year on Saturday at the Seaboard Triumph Foods Expo Center after years at the Sioux City Convention Center + it will also highlight the diverse cultures of African immigrants to Siouxland. Sioux City Journal

- ➤ A cancer listening session was held in Sioux City on Wednesday — groups reported that Iowa has the second-highest cancer rate in the country — and it is one of only two states where cases are rising. Sioux City Journal
