- ➤ The Iowa Department of Transportation warns cyclists to stay off the I-29 bike trail closed for repairs on pavement foundations and riverbank along Big Sioux River—riding on the closed trail may lead to trespassing charges, imprisonment, and fines since it has been off limits following the 2024 flooding. - ➤ The Sioux City Engineering Division warned drivers Wednesday that downtown construction is causing traffic congestion—especially during the start and end of each workday—with plans to complete repairs soon. Sioux City Journal
- ➤ Sioux City police have added drones to help watch for dangers—officer Shawn Robinson said the new unit will support public safety with better surveillance and response. This technology will assist the department in its ongoing efforts to protect the community. Sioux City Journal
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Dr. John Holcomb spoke to Siouxland healthcare professionals yesterday as he urged first responder services to stock ambulances with blood—this can help save lives in rural areas.
