EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Dr. Terry A. Murrell, who has led Western Iowa Tech Community College since 2011, will retire next spring—his final five years were marked by turbulence. The college said it will begin preparing for a leadership transition soon. Sioux City Journal

- ➤ Officials from the Iowa Department of Corrections reported that the recidivism rate dropped to 32.8% this year—three percentage points lower than fiscal 2024 and six points below 2019.
