EDUCATION NEWS

  • Dordt University will break ground this fall on two student housing projects to support its record enrollment. Four new apartment buildings will begin construction this week and a 220-bed residence hall will start later this year—both expected to be finished by fall 2026.  Sioux Country Radio

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Sioux City still has 69 miles of gravel roads in a city with over 85,000 residents—roads that see little traffic—raising questions about why these routes remain unpaved.  Sioux City Journal
  • Sioux City voters on Tuesday reduced the field for three City Council seats from nine candidates to six – advancing Berenstein, Bertrand, Rayford, Pottebaum, Koskovich, and Den Beste to the general election.  Sioux City Journal
