- ➤ Moville Area Childcare Center plans to renovate the Moville Methodist Church's classroom wing to create space for over 50 children—renovations will begin on Feb. 1st, 2026 and the center is expected to open by August 2026. Sioux City Journal

- ➤ Mike Jones, a Sioux City man battling a rare brain tumor, is showing encouraging progress after proton radiation treatments at Mayo Clinic with his latest MRI revealing further shrinkage. Doctors plan to focus on his drooping facial nerves and he will return in December unless new symptoms occur — his family has planned a fundraiser for Saturday at the Re/Max Centre in downtown Sioux City.
