- ➤ Sioux County’s in-person Disaster Case Advocacy assistance will end on October 31 — the final day to submit new storm recovery cases from June 2024. Residents needing help should contact advocates by phone or visit Hawarden City Hall before the deadline as services continue at Spencer City Hall until December 23. Sioux Country Radio
- ➤ The Iowa Department of Transportation announced that crews will remove overhang jacks at Exit 144 on I-29 beginning Oct. 27—this will cause nighttime ramp closures. Sioux City Journal
- ➤ Woodbury County issued marriage licenses on Oct 20 — the records list couples who applied as part of routine county procedures and will be maintained in official records. Sioux City Journal
